The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating the collision between an A-double truck (road train) and an intermodal freight train near Cutana, South Australia on 31 December 2023.

At about 1015 local time, the truck, travelling towards Broken Hill, entered the Barrier Highway level crossing into the path of Pacific National train 7SP5 travelling from Sydney, New South Wales to Perth, Western Australia.
