The ATSB is investigating the in-flight breakup involving a Cessna 210 aircraft, registered VH-HWY, approximately 22 km east of Darwin, Northern Territory, on 23 October 2017.

The ATSB has sent a team of investigators from Brisbane and Canberra to the accident site.

As part of the investigation, the Transport Safety Investigators will examine the site and wreckage, interview witnesses and gather available recorded data.
