Hard landing involving a Cessna Aircraft Company 152, VH-LBJ, Armidale, NSW on 21 March 1993

The student was conducting supervised solo circuits. Runway 09 was in use, with a wind of 090 degrees at 10 knots. During the third session of solo circuits the student approached the runway higher than normal. The aircraft was subsequently observed to contact the runway in a nose down attitude, the nosegear collapsed, and the propeller struck the runway.
