The ATSB is investigating an incident involving Pilatus PC-12, VH-NWI, at Launceston Airport, Tasmania, on 13 June 2025. The aircraft was conducting an air transport flight for Armada Aviation, from Essendon Airport, Victoria, with one pilot and 4 passengers on board.

During the final approach to land at Launceston, the aircraft was lined up on the taxiway rather than the runway. The pilot conducted a missed approach.

The evidence collection phase of the investigation will involve interviewing the flight crew, retrieving and reviewing recorded data, and the collection of other relevant information.

A final report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation. Should a critical safety issue be identified during the course of the investigation, the ATSB will immediately notify relevant parties, so that appropriate safety action can be taken.
