- incorporate specific mission risk and aircraft-specific characteristics and performance
- fully reflect the operational environment
- include clear guidance on the interpretation of certain items.

Coulson Aviation Australia has commenced a FRAT improvement reform program and is progressing to strengthen flight risk management through a redesign of the FRAT template to better capture the operational environment and associated operational risks.

The ATSB acknowledges the intended safety action. The ATSB will monitor the progress of the proposed safety action and, once the documentation has been received and action has been implemented, assess the extent to which it addresses the safety issue.
