The ATSB is investigating an incident involving Pilatus PC-12, VH-NWI, at Launceston Airport, Tasmania, on 13 June 2025. The aircraft was conducting an air transport flight for Armada Aviation, from Essendon Airport, Victoria, with one pilot and 4 passengers on board.

The ATSB has commenced the examination and analysis of the initial evidence collected. To date, the ATSB investigation has included:

  • interviewing the flight crew and witnesses
  • examination of maintenance and pilot records
  • analysis of air traffic surveillance data

The continuing investigation will include analysis of:

  • operational documentation
  • maintenance records
  • related occurrences

A final report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation. Should a critical safety issue be identified during the course of the investigation, the ATSB will immediately notify relevant parties, so that appropriate safety action can be taken.
