The ATSB is investigating a dual engine thrust reverser malfunction involving Airbus A320, registered VH-VGZ, at Sydney Airport, New South Wales, on 20 September 2018.
During landing, the right and left engine thrust reversers failed to operate. Subsequent inspection of the engines identified that the thrust reverser lockout pins, installed during maintenance, had not been removed.
As part of the investigation, the ATSB will interview relevant persons, obtain engineering reports and review operational procedures.
A report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
