Shine Aviation amended its Training and Checking Manual to expand on the list of existing abnormal and emergency scenarios covered and, in particular, the scenario relating to fuel system problems. Training scenarios were also updated to provide guidance to the supervisory pilots. Shine Aviation has also updated its Multi Engine Piston Line Training Syllabus. The syllabus has been amended to expand on the existing items regarding fuel loading/verification, in-flight fuel management and aircraft type-specific emergency procedures to provide further guidance for flight crew and supervisory pilots to ensure these areas are taught and assessed comprehensively throughout line training. This will ensure that crew are more likely to prevent fuel starvation/exhaustion events from occurring. If they do however occur, then crew will be better equipped to safely deal with the issue and carry out a safe landing. |
