The aircraft did not have the modifications recommended by CASA for Cessna 206 emergency exits, increasing the likelihood of impeded egress during emergency situations.
Fly Esperance Pty Ltd is in the process of investigating the various STCs mentioned in the report, to see which will be best suited to VH-TDQ in order to improve egress from the aircraft in the event of flaps being deployed.
