The ATSB notes that CAAP 5.23-1(2), dated September 2015, contains a comprehensive listing of reference material on page 4 and a new section on page 37, Section 6.17 En route engine/system failure training. The ATSB considers that the information provided in section 6.17, together with the content of the listed reference material, addresses the safety issue. |

| Action description |
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has advised the ATSB that it has started project FS 11/36 to amend advisory material relating to multi-engine aircraft training and operations to include guidance information about engine problems encountered during the climb and cruise phases of flight. This amended guidance material will include information about aircraft handling, engine management, and decision making during these phases of flight. |
