Summary
The pilot reported that during the take-off roll the aircraft accelerated to rotation speed. It was then that the pilot felt that the aircraft performance was not normal and rejected the take-off. The aircraft overran the end of the 1100 m strip and struck a log hidden in grass. The left main gear collapsed.
