Summary
The ATSB is investigating a collision with terrain involving a Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, registered VH-MPT, at Stockleigh, Queensland, on 7 September 2026.
The aircraft collided with terrain and the two occupants were fatally injured. The aircraft was subsequently destroyed by post-impact fire.
An ATSB investigation team was deployed to the accident site. As part of the investigation, ATSB investigators are expected to examine the aircraft wreckage and other information from the accident site, interview any witnesses, examine maintenance records, and collect other relevant information.
