The ATSB is investigating a ground strike involving a Beechcraft Corporation B200C, registration VH-RFD, at Hobart Airport, Tasmania, on 1 July 2025.

During taxi, the aircraft became misaligned with the taxiway and the right propeller struck a taxiway edge light resulting in minor damage.

The evidence collection phase of the investigation will involve interviewing involved parties, examination of maintenance records, retrieving and reviewing recorded data, and the collection of other relevant information.

A final report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation. Should a critical safety issue be identified during the course of the investigation, the ATSB will immediately notify relevant parties, so that appropriate safety action can be taken.
