Summary
The ATSB is investigating an overspeed through a temporary speed restriction (TSR) near Keith, South Australia, involving Aurizon Bulk Central train 5MP1, on 17 April 2026.
It was reported that at about 0908 CST, the train passed through an area of track near the 264 km mark, which was under a 60 km/h temporary speed restriction, at a speed of approximately 105 km/h.
