Summary

The pilot reported that the number three engine was shut down after the oil pressure indicator showed erratic movement and then dropped to zero. The low oil pressure light did not illuminate. The flight continued for an uneventful landing at the planned destination. Post flight examination confirmed erroneous oil pressure indication. The oil pressure transducer for the number three engine oil pressure gauge was replaced and the aircraft returned to service without further incident.
