Recommendation issued to: Victorian Department of Infrastructure
|Date issued:||25 July 2003|
|Safety action status:|
|Background:||Why this Recommendation was developed|
The ATSB recommends that the Department of Infrastructure review specified medical conditions which are detected or declared during 'fitness for duty' medical assessments (e.g. migraine). Such conditions should be further referred to a designated independent reviewing medical authority for the ultimate decision regarding medical fitness to drive a train.
