The Bureau of Air Safety Investigation recommends that the Army formalise the skill and experience requirements for tropical mountainous operations for each aircraft type and develop training programs to meet these requirements.

Army has concluded compliance with all recommendations from the BASI Crash Investigation. Recommendation R19980221: Completed. The training continuum for high DA operations is a formal course. Should the Army require the capability to operate in high DA again, the formal structured course will be implemented.
