The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating damage found to the landing gear of an Airbus A320, VH-VFL, at Proserpine, Queensland on 5 March 2020.

During the post-flight inspection, the crew detected minor damage to the nose gear landing lights and main landing gear components.

As part of the investigation, ATSB investigators will examine the damaged components and attempt to determine the source of the damage.

Should any safety critical information be discovered at any time during the investigation, the ATSB will immediately notify operators and regulators so appropriate and timely safety action can be taken.

A final report will be published at the conclusion of the investigation.
