The ATSB is investigating the engine thrust reverser malfunction of a Network Aviation Fokker F100 aircraft, registered VH-NHA, while landing at Karratha Airport, Western Australia, on 27 December 2017.

During the aircraft’s landing, the right engine thrust reverser failed to operate. Subsequent inspection of the engine identified a thrust reverser lockout pin from previous maintenance that had not been removed.

As part of the investigation, the ATSB will interview relevant persons, including the pilot and maintenance staff, and obtain other necessary information.

A report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
