The ATSB is investigating a collision with terrain involving Robinson R44, VH-MNU, at Moreton Island, Queensland, on 17 May 2017.

During aerial work, the helicopter collided with trees and subsequently with terrain. The pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries and the helicopter was substantially damaged.

As part of the investigation, the ATSB will interview the pilot and gather additional information.

A report will be released within several months.
