The pilot of an aircraft reported that a second aircraft (which was travelling in company) was making a forced landing. He reported a rough running engine and severe vibration. Both aircraft were above broken cloud at the time and were having difficulties finding a clear hole to decend through.

A helicopter found the wreckage near last light on the third day of the search. The aircraft had impacted the ground in a 70 degree dive among trees.
