Summary

During the landing roll, assisted by a crosswind, the aircraft departed from the slopping left side of the airstrip damaging the left wing and propeller. The pilot reported that the right brake appeared to be inoperative, the left brake only partially operating, and both brake pedals spongy. Marks on the runway indicated a fast touchdown well into the runway length, with heavy wheel skid marks on the loose gravel surface. A inspection failed to find any problems with either brake.
